広島エレジー (Elegy for Hiroshima)
Premiered at Double Exposure 2016
Media: Archival footage and Irradiated 16mm film
広島エレジー (Elegy for Hiroshima) is both a testament to the modern city of HIroshima as well as a visual elegy that reflects upon the city's traumatic past. This film seeks to complicate the American narrative of the Bombing by empathizing with the Hiroshiman experience and presenting the city as temporally holistic; Hiroshima existed before the Bomb and it is a city thriving after it.
Created in a collaboration with Indiana University's Media School and Jacobs School of Music with archival material provided by the Hiroshima Peace Museum.
Official Selection of Iris Film Festival 2015
Media: Color Negative 16mm Film w/Double Exposure
